San Francisco
We excitedly woke up and pack up. We were sad to leave, but we were ready for another day. day at Stanford University. We headed for breakfast buffet downstairs and my brother let me be the elevator chief! An elevator chief gets to press the buttons for the "passengers" and hold the door open. Anyways, we got in the line and went around placing bagels, cream cheese, egg, sausages, and milk onto our plates. I also had a bowl of oatmeal. It was so creamy!
As we drove in the early morning light and headed to Stanford, there was a heap of things in between seats like blankets, my stuff animals, the DVDs, a load of snacks and fruits. Also, I had my "emergency backpack" which was N-O-T not full of waterproof bandages, ointment, Vaseline, the whole big deal. Instead, it was stuffed with my stuff animals' sleeping bags and pillows, a couple of empty Easter eggs that I forgot to hide in my "San Fransisco Easter egg hunt in the hotel game", pencils, index cards, my brother's travel case that he put in a pencil box, our wallets, a few pieces of shredded up green paper a.k.a the Easter grass that I put in my eggs, and some other stuff. We started watching Kung Fu Panda but didn't have a chance to finish it. We were already at Stanford by the time we were at the part of the movie when The Furious Five try to beat Tai Lung.
While we were walking around, I figured out that most university students rode their bikes around. Poor us! Our hurt and tired legs were jealous and mad at the bikers. I really wished that we brought our bikes so we wouldn't have to walk place to place, which would N-O-T not happen.
We were begging our dad for lunch because we were hungry, but he kept on saying "you ate breakfast at breakfast time and we will eat lunch at lunch time." Twenty minutes later, we dragged ourselves to the university food court and what do you know?? There was a Subway there, a Pick up Stix, a Coldstones, and Gina Maria's Pizzeria. After we ate, we took tons of pictures of the engineering buildings, the clock tower, and other tall buildings in Stanford. My family really liked the Standford campus. My mom said the buildings have its own characters. How can building have characters? Weird!! As we were sad to leave there and headed back home, I took naps and played the no talking game with my dad, but of course I lost. Why is it so hard not to talk and why should I not talk. Talking is my passion!! I was sad to say good bye to San Francisco, but I was happy just to be coming home. Oh, and I was right, I was going to love San Francisco, and I do. :)

Mrs. B's Post
My out of this world teacher, Mrs. B. has a blog too. I was SO thrilled to see that she posted this on her blog. She is such a gifted writer! Please read the following paragraphs.
An Eight Year Old...
I teach second grade - not new information to most, but merely a reminder. The children are seven and eight years old. One of my students started a blog (I'm so proud), and while I'd love to post the link, I just can't publicly make her known. Instead I am including a few lines of her first post for you to see the amazing writing of a second grader... she wrote this independently and it was not edited by an adult.
As we drove past the entrance of San Francisco and across the large beautiful Bay Bridge, I could see the blue bay and the gentle waves blowing onto the sandy shore. As we got off the bridge, we continued watching Marley and Me. Did you know that Marley passes away at the end? Boo hoo! When my family walked to the beach we saw giant brown seals on huge brown planks.
She is eight years old! Can you imagine her transcripts at thirteen... eighteen... twenty-five?? I'd love to take the credit, or some of it, for her unbelievable talents, but it is pretty obvious that she came in with a solid foundation. :)

San Francisco
After waking up at 3:00 in the morning, we added extra things to our luggages, changed into warm and cozy clothes, and hit the road. As we drove to San Francisco in our rental car, my brother, Kenny and I kept ourselves entertained by watching Marley and Me and taking some short naps. Before we went into the city of San Francisco, we decided to stop by UC Berkeley in Oakland. The parking lot in UC Berkeley was on a steep slope and we had to park our car in a crooked angle. Then we hiked down the slope and to a rusty, yellow permit machine. We insert $1.50 for an hour and a 1/2 and struck the green button for the permit. After a while, the permit still didn't come out so I hit the red cancel switch and the permit came out. I think they should replace the permit machine since it's so outdated.
I ran back up the hill with my dad and slipped the permit onto the window sill of the car. When I finally dragged myself all the way back down the hill, we walked to the stairs of UC Berkeley. We took some pictures of the aged structure, saw tall engineering buildings and a small carnival with Easter egg-hunts going on. I loved all the statues of the bears, the people, and the tools like screwdrivers and hammers in the engineering courtyard. When it was time to head back to the car, Kenny, daddy, and I went back up the steep hill and brought the car down to Mama who was too lazy to walk all the way up. On the way to our next stop we passed a smelly farm and you could smell cattle a.k.a a group of cows. The smell was not pleseant! I pinched my nose untill we passed the stinky farm.
...... A FEW HOURS LATER ......

As we got off the bridge, we countinued watching Marley and Me. Did you know that Marley passes away at the end? Boo hoo! When my family walked to the beach we saw giant brown seals on huge brown planks. It was very windy so we decided to go to our hotel. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to love San Francisco!

San Francisco
Today, we pulled up into the parking lot of the Presido and toured around. There was a large pond with a beautiful fountain and ducks, swans, and other birds swim around it. It also had many tall, intricate buildings. Soon after that, we drove up a steep 45 degree hill and rode down the crookest road in the world, The Lombard Street! Mama started screaming time to time as we turned on very sharp curbs.
A short while later, we headed out for the Golden Gate Bridge. We slowly crossed it as we looked out the windows and admired the small, sandy bay and inhabited green islands. My brother, Kenny and I thoght it was a great sight at the vista point and shot some pictures. Soon we made a quick U- turn and crossed the bridge once again and drove up to my favorite place in San Francisco, the Ghrardelli Factory!!! The heavenly smell and the look of the rich, brown Ghrardelli chocalte made my mouth water. I ended up tricking my dad (as usual) into buying a 80 piece bag of chocolate!
As we drove down to Subway for lunch, my stomach grumbled and I kept scolding it so it would stop, but it didn't. I could really use a sub, a refreshing drink, and of course, a little square of chocalate. We turned and headed into to the entrance of Subway. I had half of a Spicy Italian footlong which had salami, pepperoni, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers, oil, and vinegar. It was scrumptious! For a small dessert, I had a square of Ghrardelli Carmel. I was fully satisfied ! Sadly, our day was soon over , but we hoped that more fun will come tomorrow. I hope we all have a good night sleep so we can have a lot of energy for next day, the last day.
