San Francisco

After waking up at 3:00 in the morning, we added extra things to our luggages, changed into warm and cozy clothes, and hit the road. As we drove to San Francisco in our rental car, my brother, Kenny and I kept ourselves entertained by watching Marley and Me and taking some short naps. Before we went into the city of San Francisco, we decided to stop by UC Berkeley in Oakland. The parking lot in UC Berkeley was on a steep slope and we had to park our car in a crooked angle. Then we hiked down the slope and to a rusty, yellow permit machine. We insert $1.50 for an hour and a 1/2 and struck the green button for the permit. After a while, the permit still didn't come out so I hit the red cancel switch and the permit came out. I think they should replace the permit machine since it's so outdated.

I ran back up the hill with my dad and slipped the permit onto the window sill of the car. When I finally dragged myself all the way back down the hill, we walked to the stairs of UC Berkeley. We took some pictures of the aged structure, saw tall engineering buildings and a small carnival with Easter egg-hunts going on. I loved all the statues of the bears, the people, and the tools like screwdrivers and hammers in the engineering courtyard. When it was time to head back to the car, Kenny, daddy, and I went back up the steep hill and brought the car down to Mama who was too lazy to walk all the way up. On the way to our next stop we passed a smelly farm and you could smell cattle a.k.a a group of cows. The smell was not pleseant! I pinched my nose untill we passed the stinky farm.

...... A FEW HOURS LATER ......

As we drove past the entrance of San Francisco and across the large beautiful Bay Bridge, I could see the blue bay and the gentle waves blowing onto the sandy shore. As we got off the bridge, we countinued watching Marley and Me. Did you know that Marley passes away at the end? Boo hoo! When my family walked to the beach we saw giant brown seals on huge brown planks. It was very windy so we decided to go to our hotel. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to love San Francisco!

  1. I love reading about your trip! Keep blogging. Now you need to add a picture of the trip.
Marley and Me is so sad... I didn't see the movie, but I read the book. Have you read it? You are welcome to borrow mine.
